I have a glint in my eye in this photo as I have a BIG confession – my hair is not all my own.
Like Xfactor’s Cheryl Cole, I’ve started getting a bit of help to get it thick and bouncy.
My secret is Connect Hair Extensions, and I visited the salon in London’s Chalk Farm eight weeks ago.
Boys, look away now as this may bore you but if you continue reading you may get some inspiration about what to buy your girlfriends / mums / sisters as I am a hair extensions convert.
I was nervous before I went in as I have seen some hair extension horrors on girls in West End clubs, but not one person has guessed the whole time my extensions have been in.
It’s not painful at all, in fact it’s a really enjoyable way to spend 4 to 5 hours if you opt for a full head (like I did). A half head takes just over three hours.
The friendly staff will get you snacks if you’re hungry (including muffins and danish pastries) plus there is a full lunch menu.
All the magazines are completely new so I was able to work at the same time as having my hair done and could get an extra opinion about what was happening in celeb land from the my stylist.
So now you know my secret, and I don’t feel ashamed to share it because I know I look hot.
(Also my make-up artists sister tells me the reason Connect are better than some of the hair extensions she’s seen in the past is because the quality of the hair is good – they use real human hair.
Plus Connect weaves it into small sections, meaning that it is less likely to get matted than if the hair was applied to larger clumps).
