I’m all for getting a bit festive over the Christmas season, but spending £18,000 on Christmas decorations does seem a bit excessive.

Obviously not to Amy Winehouse, who tallied up a bill of almost £20,000 in six hours in preparation for a Christmas party she is hosting at her house.

And it seems tackiness was no objection to Amy – who purchased moving reindeers, Santas and lights that play Christmas music as she shopped at Selfridges department store.

But the benefits of being a world-famous singer are clear, as Amy is forgoing the often stressful task of putting up the decorations by hiring a firm to do that for her.

So, where’s my invite then Amy?!
