Taylor Lautner says he was bullied as a child
25. November 2009

Taylor Lautner has revealed he was bullied when he was younger.

The 17-year-old actor says he always knew his passion for acting would lead to a career in the industry, despite the views of his peers.

He said: “I was never extremely confident. Because I was an actor, when I was in school there was a little bullying going on.

“Not physical bullying but people making fun of what I do … I just had to tell myself I can’t let this get to me. This is what love to do. And I’m going to continue to do it.”

Taylor – who plays Jacob Black in ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ also told Rolling Stone magazine – the cast of the movies were entirely unaware how successful the film franchise would be.

He added: “Nobody knew what Twilight was going to be. Nobody. We thought we were making it just for passionate fans of the book. People just kept telling Us, ‘Oh, yeah, the movie is going to do so good.’

“And we were like, ‘All right, whatever. We’ll see.’ But when the movie came out, I was just blown away. That’s when I realised, ‘Boy, what am I getting myself into?’”

If you haven’t seen New Moon yet – go and see it, what are you waiting for?! It’s amazing!
