Singer Leona Lewis has hit out at the fashion and music industry for their love of fur. leona who is a vegetarian and doesn’t wear fur, suede or leather has said that seeing people wearing fur makes her sick.

The 24 year old has revealed her disgust at turning up at a photo shoot to find fur and feathers on the clothing rack “I had to make it so clear that I just do not go there” she told bangshowbiz.com

Leona who is a public supporter of PETA (People for the ethical treatment of animals) is also worried about the resurgence in the popularity of fur, especially among young singers.

Nearly 400 designers including Alexander McQueen and John Galliano use fur in their collections and many celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Agnes Deyn have been spotted in the real thing.

Fur continues to be a hot topic for debate, but at least for now,  it looks as if it’s here to stay
