Another day, another Cheryl Cole update.

Thank goodness that Cheryl seems to be on the mend at last following her traumatic ordeal after contracting Malaria earlier this month.

The singer had a brush with death but is getting stronger and in her true ‘workaholic’ style, is keen to get back to work.

Although it has been confirmed that Cheryl will not be healthy enough to participate in the Boot Camp phase of the X Factor, she may be returning for the Judges House section.

Previously Cheryl has filmed this segment of the show in Morocco and Cannes but this year will most probably be filming in the UK to ensure that she doesn’t over exert herself.

There is speculation that Pussycat Doll, Nicole Scherzinger will be her replacement in the boot camp stage.

Katie Price has returned early from honeymooning in Thailand with hubbie, Alex Reid, as she thinks she is the ideal candidate for stepping in for Cheryl Cole on the X Factor.

Wait a second Katie….you can’t sing!

This doesn’t seem to be fazing the page 3 model one bit as she stated:

“I think everyone wants to be a judge on that show. Simon (Cowell) knows where I am.

“I’m honest but some people will say, ‘Why’s she’s doing it? What’s she got to do with it? Blah, blah’. But I’ve still got ears and can still hear things and can see looks.”

Well that clearly makes her qualified.

Price returned from her honeymoon sporting a newly enhanced trout pout which could be a tactic to help her land the much coveted role.

It’s no secret that the other judges are all partial to a spot of surgical enhancement so at least they would have something to chat about off screen.

It seems that Cheryl Cole is finally starting to feel a bit better this week – thank goodness!

Despite this, Doctors have stressed just how seriously ill she was after contracting the deadliest strain of the malaria virus and have insisted that she rest to ensure a full recovery.

Cheryl has therefore had to pull out of her V Festival appearance and won’t be appearing in X Factor again until the final.

As yet, there has been no replacement confirmed for her X Factor slot.

Cheryl has been released from intensive care at the Tropical Diseases Specialist Unit at University College Hospital and has been moved to a private clinic to continue her recovery.

Danni Minogue is in trouble today after letting some secrets slip on twitter. On hearing that Alf form home and away (remember him) had won a Golden Logie award (its an Aussie thing) she tweeted “”Congratulations to Ray Meagher for winning the Gold Logie.”I’m so happy for you!”

She then found out that the award ceremony hadn’t yet been aired in OZ therefore breaking a strict embargo on results. A spokesman for Danni said “Dannii was simply offering congratulations from London to an old friend.”She had no idea the telecast was delayed.”

The party squad ate more Easter eggs than we care to disclose over the weekend, but we know someone who isn’t joining us with that sick feeling this morning. Poor Kris Smith, Danni’s Minogue’s beau, didn’t get any eggs at all.

The disappointed lad wrote on Twitter today: “Easter is over didn’t get any eggs but still managed to eat way to much sweet stuff. Ah well maybe next year.”

Come on Danni, surely you can stretch to buying Kris a Cadbury’s treat… and they are half price now too!
