Keisha Buchanan has revealed she is working with Mutya Buena on her upcoming solo album.

The singer – who was replaced in the Sugababes by Jade Ewen – wrote on her Twitter page that she is heading into the studio with original Sugababes member Mutya on the new record.

“I’ll hopefully be working with Mutya on my album! Let’s see if I can get her attention for 3 seconds first lol She’s a busy bee,” Keisha wrote on her Twitter page.

“The last time I finished a studio session at 6am was when i was 14,” she added. “Back in the studio again at 2pm:-D.

“It’s coming along great. I’m keeping it all private… My label hasn’t heard 1 thing lol Im happy.”

Another lady who has had a pretty successful couple of years is Cheryl Cole.

The X Factor judge – who hit number one with her debut solo single ‘Fight For This Love’ and album ‘3 Words’ – will round off 2009 with her own one-off ITV show entitled ‘Cheryl Cole’s Night In’.

The Girls Aloud star will perform some of her solo tracks, as well as welcoming pals Rihanna, Alexandra Burke, Will Young and will.i.am to join her on stage.

Cheryl said: “2009 has been an incredible year for me with a number one single and a number one album and being part of The X Factor.

“And I couldn’t be happier that ITV have asked me to round off the year with my own show, working with some of my favourite artists.”

Should be a good show – I do love a Christmas show!

Leona Lewis has never made a show of being a superstar, preferring to maintain her low-key lifestyle than indulge in a celebrity life, but she has finally decided to make her first extravagant purchase.

The 24-year-old singer, who has been living in a £120,000 flat with boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa in Hackney, has splashed out on a $1.8million mansion in Los Angeles.

The property comes with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a guest wing, a swimming pool, parking for ten cars and a huge kitchen.

Nicole Kidman has sparked rumours she is expecting her second child.

The Australian actress – who has a one-year-old daughter Sunday with husband Keith Urban – was photographed at the American Music Awards with what appeared to be a rounded stomach.

Nicole also looked as though she was holding her stomach in most of the photographs, prompting reports she is expecting another baby.

The other thing from the American Music Awards last night making headlines this morning is former ‘American Idol’ contestants Adam Lambert’s controversial performance.

Adam – who is openly gay – cavorted and gyrated his way through a performance of ‘For Your Entertainment’ before following in the footsteps of Madonna and Britney Spears by locking lips with one of his male dancers.

2009 has definitely been a good year for Taylor Swift.

She has managed to take herself from little known country singer to worldwide famous star, bag herself a gorgeous boyfriend in the form of Taylor Lautner and now has swept the board at the American Music Awards.

Taylor – who was not at the Los Angeles ceremony last night as she was in London – won five American Music Awards including Favourite Artist of the Year.

The 19-year-old beauty gave her acceptance speech over satellite, telling the audience: “To even be mentioned in a category with Michael Jackson is an unimaginable honour. I’m sending my love to the Jackson family.”

The late Michael Jackson won four awards last night, with brother Jermaine accepting on his behalf.

Jermaine said: “It’s not just about the winnings, the awards. It’s mainly the message. The message Michael had will live on forever. He saw good in everyone. … Start with love and let’s love each other.”

Camilla Dallerup says Katie Price left the show because “she was about to have a little breakdown”.

The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star – who was forced to leave the show due to ill health – thinks the former glamour model decided to quit ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ last night because she physically couldn’t face doing a seventh Bushtucker Trial.

Camilla said: “I’m very surprised but then we don’t know if it was all a publicity stunt. I know day after day with her doing the trials maybe she has just had enough.

“Was it that because she was about to have a little breakdown, she didn’t want to cry on screen? I don’t know.

“I saw a nice side of Katie in there, and I don’t think she showed the public that.”

Katie is set to reveal all to Ant and Dec on the live show of ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ tonight.

Last week I went to see ‘Me and Orson Welles’, starring Zac Efron, Claire Danes and newcomer Christian McKay and I have to say that it was fantastic.

Directed by Richard Linklater, the movie gave Zac the chance to step away from the musical movies that made him famous, and show he has what it takes to become a respected dramatic actor.

Another piece of shock news this weekend was the departure of John and Edward from ‘The X Factor’.

The annoying Irish twins – who managed to remain in the singing competition until this point, despite Simon Cowell insisting they can’t sing – were finally voted off last night after facing the sing off with Olly Murs.

After Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole voted to keep Olly, and Louis Walsh voted to keep his act Jedward, the decision was up to Dannii Minogue, who asked, “Is this a singing competition we are voting for here?” before choosing to send John and Edward home.

But the twins are determined to see the positive side of their exit, insisting they will look fondly back over their time on the ITV programme.

John said: “We’re fine with it because we got to work with such pros. We would like to give a shout to everyone on the show and they each had a part.”

Edward added: “Every time we went on that stage it was such a rush!”

However the pair aren’t sure whether rumours they are going to be the next Ant and Dec are true, with John saying: “Really, they are so cool though! It’s just about keeping your doors open for other things. We’ll see.”

Actor John Pickard, otherwise known as Hollyoaks’ Dom Reilly, is offering fans the chance to visit him on set and take part in a scene – OMG!!

I caught up with him to ask why and it turns out it’s all to raise funds for two important charities – the Prostate Cancer charity and Leonard Cheshire disability.

John’s already run the New York and London Marathons for the charities and now he wants to raise even more funds by this competition – carried out on charity donation website justgiving.com.
