Cheryl Cole has made the return back to work following the split from Ashley. She spent less than a week sitting indoors with bottles of wine and Ben and Jerry’s (0r whatever skinny people do when they’re heartbroken) before returning to work.

Mind you when the rest of us go through a break- up we’re sat at our desks the next days (admittedly crying into our Starbucks, but trawlling through emails nevertheless).

The star was pictured on her way to a London studio to shoot a new L’Oreal ad, and was looking tired and skinny- but still good (Grrr!)

L’Oreal will tell you you’re worth more than Ashley, Cheryl.

There’s been something about 2009 and 2010 that has brought with it a lot of tragic young celebrity deaths.

To Buy or not to Buy presenter, Kristian Digby has been found dead at his home in East London yesterday at the age of only 32. The death is at the moment ‘unexplained’ but it thought not to be suicide.

The BBC star’s body was found by his ex-partner, a former policeman, at around 7.45am yesterday morning and he was prounounced dead at the scene.

Our thoughts are with Kristian’s family and friends.

Cheryl Cole returned to work yesterday after her marriage split and was praised for her professionalism and for not once breaking down or showing any signs of the turmoil of the past few weeks.

Meanwhile Ashley Cole has been taking a rather different approach to the break up and revealed his fragile state after losing it with a photographer who was hanging around the French clinic where Ashley is receiving treatment for his ankle injury.

“Why don’t you just f*** off?, f*** off, you’re scum. You’ve ruined my life! Why doesn’t everyone just leave me alone? I’m here trying to get treatment” Ashley yelled.

On a separate occasion Ashley was apparently also seen with his head in his hands and close to tears saying “F***ing hell, my life is ruined. I just want to be left along, everything has gone so wrong”

Looks life Ashley may be realising the error of his ways, like so many other celebrity love cheats before him, its all too little, too late.

Alicia Keys believes that the upbringing she received growing up in New York is the reason why she always steered clear of drugs. 

Speaking to You, Alicia explained that keeping grounded was the key to avoiding some of the darker temptations of fame:

“I always make sure I stay connected to the real world. The way I avoid temptations, what did it for me, was that I grew up around drugs, sex, alcohol and death.

“I think that when you see that in your life, you know what it does to you and have no desire to do it.”

We think it’s great that Alicia provides such a positive role model as a pop star. If only all stars could be as good as her.

Leona Lewis apparently isn’t a fan of the massive carbon footprint that she leaves behind when she flies all over the world.

This issue irks Leona so much that she has taken to planting a tree after every flight to try and balance her footprint.

Speaking to the News of the World, Leona revealed: “It’s not about saying to people you can’t get on a plane. I travel all the time. But I plant a tree every time I’ve been on a plane to counter-balance the effects.”

“I try to do as much as I can, especially when I’m away. I rent hybrid cars. I’m conscious about lights and energy saving. I’ve always switched the lights off when I’m not in a room since I was a child.”

I think it’s great that Leona is conscious of her carbon emissions, if only more stars would now trade in their super- cars for bicycles, the world would be a healthier place.

Amy Winehouse was out in Camden last night snogging the face off her ex Blake Fielder Civil, according to my excellent sources (my neighbours).

Yes, that’s right – the Zoe Griffin party squad are now based in Camden in one of the coolest offices ever.

It’s a stone’s throw from Koko nightclub and within walking  distance of Gilgamesh restaurant (for posh food) and The Diner (where the pancakes with maple syrup cure any hangover).

But best of all, with Amy back and rumoured to be looking at a £2.5 million house in the area, I will be able to get all the gossip and I intend to.

I may even try and wedge myself between her and Blake if nobody else does. He’s just not good for and we all want Amy to do better and release another album.

My favourite car company is Go Green Car – London’s first fleet of eco-friendly Toyota Prius cars.

Their drivers are absolutely amazing and that’s because they have definitely seen a lot.

Apparently, they get women telling them things they shouldn’t late at night!

We think that Lucie Jones is going to be in trouble. The X Factor star has posted a pic on Twitter of fellow contestant Lloyd Daniels catching a few Zzzzz’s on The X Factor tour bus.

He’s so cute we want to eat him all up!

Also, how messy is the tour bus and how many sweets do they all eat? They’ll be performing on a sugar high if they’re not careful!

If Alexandra and Leona are anything to go by you would think winning the show was a passport to a life time of success and wealth. Apparently not for poor Steve Brookstein.

The 2004 winner, who was mentored by Simon Cowell, is now doing gigs in Cornwall for just £2.50. So for the price of a pint you can see the man himself perform.

But apparently Steve isn’t upset about it and is said to have said at the show that he made more money singing in the pub than he ever did with Sony, adding “This is what happens when you fall out with Simon Cowell.”

Said with not a hint of bitterness of course!

John Barrowman has revealed that he once turned down the chance to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, John said: “I was asked to sing two years ago, and I considered it, but the reason I didn’t do it was because of all of the politics. No matter how good the song was, you’d be nil points,”

“Also, a lot of people are trying to treat it like The X Factor and American Idol. But it’s Eurovision and we’re not going to create a pop star out of Eurovision.”

I think ABBA may have something to say about that John, as would Bucks Fizz, although admittedly to a lesser extent.
